Abstract

A successful project is together with advanced technologies to reduce the problem in construction sites or improve time, cost and quality. However, the business in Malaysian construction industry still lack of implement advanced technology. Therefore, to tackle this problem, these research study will be carried out to identify the various types of advanced technologies used in the Malaysian construction industry, investigate the benefits of using advanced technologies in the Malaysian construction industry, identify the issues / difficulties of implementing the advanced technologies in the Malaysian construction industry and recommend solutions to encourage more construction industries in Malaysia to implement advanced technologies in their projects. The methodologies that will be applied for this research starts with using literature review to identify the benefits and difficulties by experts and solution to encourage more construction industries in Malaysia to implement advanced technologies in their projects based on previous research. This is followed by distributions of questionnaire forms towards the project manager,architect and engineers, site supervisor and supplier in Selangor construction industry G7 company for the first and second objective. The data were then analyzed using Cronbach’s Alpha analysis and Descriptive analysis. The findings indicate experts have awareness to try new advanced technologies and all the benefits in questionnaires for advanced technology they agreed with. For the challenges and solution, majority of respondents also agreed with it
