Abstract

This research delves into the interplay between artificial intelligence (AI) competency, data integrity, communication effectiveness, and employee risk awareness within Malaysian corporate governance structures. It aims to bridge existing gaps by examining how these elements collectively shape employees' perceptions of risks amid rapid technological advancements. Drawing on theoretical frameworks like the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Communication Theory, the study explores how AI competency and data integrity influence communication effectiveness, thus impacting employee risk awareness. Employing a quantitative approach via online surveys, the research seeks insights from 275 participants using a 7-point Likert scale. Data analysis involves SPSS and SmartPLS to assess relationships and mediating factors. The findings offer valuable guidance for Malaysian companies, aiding them in bolstering risk awareness and resilience in an AI-driven environment, and contribute to both academic knowledge and practical strategies for navigating AI integration and data management challenges
