Some of the problems exist when shopping in grocery stores such as long queues, time consuming which affects the customer’s purchase experience. By developing SkipQ, customers can scan the products and make payment using the mobile application. This means that the customers do not need to wait at the counter if they want to make payment. Therefore, using SkipQ can reduce the customers’ waiting time and make the purchase process more efficient. The scope of this project includes the client side which is for customers by using mobile application and admin side which is for staff by using web application. Client side mainly focus on the purchasing process of the customers, which include the features of point of sale, managing customers information and security. Admin side mainly allow staff to manage various aspects of the grocery retail operation, which includes the features of managing staff, sales, company, inventory information and security. In conclusion, the grocery retailer mobile application can enhance the customer shopping experience which makes them convenient in purchasing items.
