Abstract
This study explored and design an automated storage and sorter system that solve the problems of managing and storing different items. The study is focused on the development of an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) to address the challenges associated with managing and storing variant items. The whole system will be operating with the help of PLC. The program for PLC will be discovered in order to allow the system to work precisely. Following an extensive literature review, it was determined that a streamline with vertical storage ASRS system best suited the specific requirements. The ASRS will be working similarly to the SMC HAS- 200 Special Edition – Industry 4.0. Many components of the ASRS operate fully automatically, posing a risk to production in case of power outages. Additionally, most of these systems utilize a single chain and arm technology, making them susceptible to damage and potential losses in case of component failure. To mitigate these risks, the study investigated the implementation of an uninterruptible power supply system to ensure continuous operation during power disruptions. SolidWorks software was employed for design and modeling to create an overlook of the machine.
