Abstract

This study was undertaken to examine the teacher's perspective on exploring the impact of a developmentally appropriate environment on children’s physical development. A total of 6 preschool or kindergarten teachers participated in the study. Participants completed a few of the interview questions that related to the research topic. A developmentally appropriate environment in an early childhood learning environment is one that provides appropriate support for a child's development. In providing children with an environment that is appropriate for their development, teachers need to consider many factors. The focus of this study is to find out what factors in the environment contribute to the physical development of children and how they affect the physical development of children.
