Abstract

The parents can influence the overall academic performance of the learners to ensure their cognitive development. The study explores the perceptions of parents regarding the cognitive, and socio-emotional development of the children. In this research, a primary qualitative methodology was used comprising interviews of 10 close-ended questions to 5 participants. Parental involvement is essential to boost self-esteem, emotional stability, and guidance to their children. Additionally, varying teaching methods and time constraints are some critical challenges that parents encounter. Support systems and collaborations need to be fostered among the children, where the role of teachers is also pivotal.
