Abstract

Water quality monitoring is vital for public health and environmental sustainability. This project develops an IoT-based system to monitor temperature, pH, turbidity, and total dissolved solids (TDS) in real-time, overcoming the inefficiencies of traditional methods. Utilizing an STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller, ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, and precise sensors (DS18B20, E- 201-C, TSW-30, SEN0244), the system displays data locally on a 0.96" OLED screen and supports bi-directional communication with a mobile app via the OneNet cloud platform. This enables users to monitor water quality parameters and adjust alert thresholds remotely. User- defined thresholds trigger local alerts via a buzzer and LED, validated through rigorous testing with relative errors below 10%. This system offers a scalable, cost-effective solution for water quality management, with potential for future enhancements like power optimization and additional sensors.
