Abstract

The project aims to develop a versatile and adaptable maintenance robot that can perform a variety of tasks efficiently and autonomously. To achieve this goal, the robot will be equipped with a modular tool system and an automated repair station to allow for rapid tool changes. The proposed maintenance robot aims to address the limitations of current systems, which are often affected by limited tool sets and manual intervention in tool changes, resulting in reduced efficiency and increased downtime. By combining a modular tool system and an automated tool exchange mechanism, the robot will be able to adapt to various maintenance scenarios and perform tasks more effectively. The project will involve the design, development, and implementation of a maintenance robot and repair station. The key components will include the development of a modular tool system, the design of a repair station with an automated tool exchange mechanism, the integration of sensors and control systems to enable autonomous operation, and the development of a user-friendly interface for human-robot interaction. The successful implementation of this project has the potential to significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations across industries, reduce downtime, improve safety, and promote sustainability.
