Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between adaptive and maladaptive perfectionism and procrastination among undergraduates in Malaysia, as well as the gender differences in procrastination. The target population comprises Malaysian undergraduates studying at universities in Malaysia. An online questionnaire was distributed to 152 respondents using convenience sampling and the snowball sampling method. The research instruments include the Short Almost Perfect Scale (SAPS) and the Procrastination Scale. The data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank Order Correlation and the Mann-Whitney U Test. The finding indicates a significant, but very weak positive correlation between adaptive perfectionism and procrastination, whereby (150) = .174; p <.05. Likewise, maladaptive
