Abstract

The Smart Door Access System seeks to elevate the concept of security and convenience today through the integration of multiple verification features into a single intelligent door-opening system. The project explores the design, development, and implementation of a secure, IoT-based smart access system by a diploma-level electronic engineering student. The system optimizes access control in areas such as homes, offices, and other restricted zones for security. The project aims to give its users secure and multifaceted access to a door using four levels of security-RFID scan, fingerprint, PIN, and mobile app controls. The system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller as the primary controlling module and subsystems including biometric and RFID sensor modules, keypad input, and mobile app and control connections, with a servo motor for automatic door locking and unlocking. Another security measure is to capture images using the ESP32-CAM after multiple unsuccessful attempts at access and send these images to the mobile app, thus inhibiting any unauthorized entry. Programming is done using C/C++ for microcontroller control and app communication. This system reduces human monitoring needs, providing trouble-free entry while deterring unauthorized entry
