Abstract

This project involves the design and development of an IoT-Based Real-Time Smart Parking System aimed at reducing the challenges of finding parking spaces and improving the efficiency of urban traffic management. The project addresses the common problem faced by drivers in conventional parking systems, where locating available spots requires significant time and often leads to congestion, fuel wastage, and driver frustration. The main objective is to create a smart, automated system that can detect available parking spaces using IoT-enabled sensors and provide real-time information to users through a mobile application or web interface. The proposed system integrates ultrasonic sensors, wireless communication modules, and a cloudbased platformto continuously monitor and update parking availability. The methodology includes identifying suitable hardware components, designing the system architecture, developing the software interface, and integrating all parts into a functional prototype. The result is a reliable system that enables drivers to quickly locate and reserve parking spaces with minimal effort. This IoT-based parking solution offers a cost-effective, scalable, and user-friendly approach for car owners, parking operators, and city authorities, while also improving sustainability, reducing traffic congestion, and enhancing the overall urban driving experience
