Abstract
This project presents the development of a prototype designed to support medical professionals in performing preliminary diagnostic tasks, specifically targeting skin and oral cavity examinations. Motivated by the increasing patient volume and extended waiting times in government hospitals, this system aims to alleviate high physician workloads and optimize limited consultation times. The primary objectives are to design a supportive platform that reduces repetitive manual tasks, improves clinical workflow efficiency, and enhances overall patient management. The proposed methodology integrates key sensing components specifically a high-resolution camera and automated positioning hardware into a unified, microcontroller-based architecture. This system automatically captures, processes, and transmits patient diagnostic visual data in real time to a centralized dashboard for clinician review. Prototype testing demonstrated the system's ability to efficiently gather precise patient imagery, significantly reducing the need for repetitive manual assessments and accelerating patient flow in clinical environments. Furthermore, the findings emphasize that this system minimizes physical contact, thereby reducing the risk of cross-infection, while providing a scalable foundation for future telemedicine applications. Ultimately, this project validates that such prototypes operating under clinician supervision can substantially enhance preliminary diagnostic assistance while preserving essential human oversight in patient care.
