Abstract

Visually impaired individuals often face difficulties navigating safely, especially in unfamiliar areas. This project, Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection Glasses with GPS Tracking, is designed to assist them in moving independently and securely. The glasses use ultrasonic sensors to detect nearby obstacles and provide real-time alerts through audio feedback, helping the user avoid collisions. A GPS module continuously tracks the user’s location, with data transmitted to a mobile application for monitoring by family members or caregivers. An OLED display on the system shows status information, while emergency alerts can be triggered if the user requires help. By combining obstacle detection with GPS tracking, the product improves both mobility and safety, giving visually impaired users greater confidence and independence in their daily lives.
