Abstract

This project is a mobile guidance application which utilized Near Field Communication (NFC) and QR code technology to obtain user location. The user who wishes to locate a room/shop/store within the building but have no idea where is the location, then they can use this apps and tap/scan it at the nearest NFC or QR contact point. The user they can choose their desire destination and start the navigation. This apps provide an offline guidance to the user by showing them the start (user location) and end point (user destination) of the location and a build in compass to shows the direction between two points. This system has been developed in Android platform and Window platform. There are 3 main modules covered in my tasks, which are, activity maintenance module, NFC and QR code maintenance module, and feature of Android App which are download map, show the path to destination location from user current location. This system is applied the Spiral model Approach as the methodology for development cycle. This approach is combination of waterfall and prototyping model. Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, Android Studio, Photoshop and MySQL are the tools used throughout the project. Test Case is one of the testing criteria used in the project. It acts as a checklist that helps to make sure all the functionalities is working fine. In results and conclusion, most of the functionalities have been created, however, due to the complexity and longer time consumed, some of the features have minor bug and require certain period of time to solve it such as into OhMyNavis app takes a long time to load the advertisement and activity image into application.
