Abstract

In this project, the relation of economic indicators with All House Prices in Malaysia has been investigated using regression analysis. The main works of this project is modelling, testing and forecasting. In Chapter 1, a brief introduction has been given on the project and the main economic indicators used on this project are listed out i.e. BLR, GDP and Labour. The objective of this study has been stated is to use regression analysis to model and forecast house prices. In the Chapter 2, in the literature review, the works of Tze San Ong published on May 2013 and the works of Kenneth Richard Corsini have also been reviewed. In Chapter 3, the methodology of the project stated where the sources of data and the tools used to analyse the data was stated. In Chapter 4, the data transformation and modelling was done using regression and tested to confirm that the regression primary conditions are fulfilled. In Chapter 5, all parametric tests were performed to determine the significance of every variable. Pearson Correlation was also done and followed with stepwise regression. The forecasting works are explained in Chapter 6. The All House Price was predicted for 3 years and the residuals statistics were interpreted. Finally in Chapter 7, the conclusion for this project is stated followed by the future works which could be pursued.
