Abstract

By understanding and utilising the fundamental physics of optics, three cloaking devices are constructed. Using Optical raytracer software to simulate the ray tracing to show that cloaking via lenses is viable and later on shown to work then construction of the cloaking device commence. Using materials that exhibit the effect of the principle of law of reflection, law of refraction and refractive index such material is mirrors, optical lens and Fresnel lens. By positioning the mirror in a ‘V’ shape configuration and using optical lens with focal length of 35 mm and -75 mm with the bi-concave being position in between the bi-convex lens and using Fresnel lens to scale up the size of the optical lens with focal length of 23.65 cm and 13.65 cm for single plated and double plated respectively. The object when placed at the cloaking region vanish from sight.
