Abstract

This thesis project involves a Thorlabs CP532 green LASER diode with a wavelength of 532 nm shining on to different target apertures such as PASCO diffraction plate OS-8464 and PASCO diffraction plate, slit A ~ J and passes through a LB1904 convex lens with a focal point of 125 mm to deconstruct the image into Fraunhofer diffraction pattern then is reconstructed by passing through a LB1676 convex lens with a focal point of 100 mm. The resultant image is then magnified by using another convex lens, LB1761 with a focal point of 25.4 mm. The resultant image can be changed depending on the different types of masking used such as iris diaphragms, ID25 or a custom-made masking. The hardware results is compared with a simulation program that is built from NI_Vision_Development_Module:lvlib.
