Abstract

The purpose of this project is to fulfill the requirement of Bachelor of Science in Software System Development. This project must be submitted as Final Year Project in order to graduate. Online Restaurant Reservation Management System allow different restaurant to register their restaurant information via this system. Therefore, customers can view these restaurant information and make reservation for any restaurant. This system will benefit both restaurants and customers. For restaurants, they do not require to spend money to develop and maintain their own reservation system. Besides, customers allow to make reservation for different restaurants. The system consist of 6 modules. It includes, restaurant maintenance module, food maintenance module, reservation maintenance module, restaurant or food recommendation module, food and restaurant rating function and restaurant and food comment function. The methodology used to develop complete this project is software development cycle. It is a step by step approach from planning analysis, design and implementation. Different diagramming tools are used such as use case diagram, activity diagram, sequence diagram and state chart diagram are used to have better understand and design for the system architecture. The system was developed by using C# and .NET framework 4.5 platform. The IDE used to develop was Visual Studio 2012. Besides, JQuery, JavaScript and AJAX are used to enhance the function and feature of the system.
