Abstract

In this project report, we investigate the model of Supply Chain Management problems in using Excel Solver Methods to solve the all the cases. My project report consists of 6 chapters. In Chapter 1, we introduce about the background of Supply Chain Management (SCM). This Chapter consist of 5 sections. In section 1, we introduce the definition of SCM. In section 2, we introduce the functions of SCM. In section 3, we state the benefits of SCM. In section 4, we state the objectives of the SCM. At last section of this chapter, we compare the difference between the Logistics Management & Supply Chain Management. In chapter 2, we have presented some Literature review of this topic. We have 2 sections in this chapter. In the first section, we are present about the researchers who define SCM definition. In the next section, we are present the Literature and theory of SCM. In chapter 3, we have given the introduction about the inventory model. In this chapter, we have presented the definition and the background of inventory model. Next, we have listed some formula about the model, and derived the formula. Moreover, we have given a few types of example cases for this topic. In chapter 4, we have given the introduction about the transportation model. Next, we have presented the formulation of transportation problem. Besides, we have given some introduction about the types of feasible solution we use. Moreover, we provided some examples, and provide the steps to solve the problems. In chapter 5, we have described about the Excel Solver. Next, we provided some examples for Inventory Model and Transportation Model. Moreover, we have provided the steps which to guide users how to solve the mathematical problems by using the Solver. In the last chapter, we present the conclusions and the future work for the topic
