Abstract

The concentration level of calcium and cereal content in the cereal samples were determined. The Two acid combination were applied to digest the cereal samples for the comparison of digestion efficiency. The first digestion was the single nitric acid alone and another one was the aqua regia mixture with the combination of HCl – NHO3 in the ratio 3:1. Aqua regia was the most efficient method in term of recovery of calcium and iron content in the cereal samples. It can reduce the noise level during detection procedure and destroy the sample matrices. It also can improved the accuracy and precision of the metal determination in the cereal samples.
