Abstract

This project was carried out in order to fulfilment the requirement for Bachelor of Computer Science in Interactive Software Technology. This project was a game design and development project, named Hope, a 3D stealth action game. Hope also was a game that aimed to create and raise the people’s awareness regarding sex trafficking issues. By playing the game, player able to get to know the knowledge and facts regarding sex trafficking, through the gameplay and narratives in game. Based on research conducted, it showed that although human trafficking is illegal in almost every country, but it still exist in everywhere, especially sex trafficking and trafficking for forced labor. Those traffickers coerce and force the victims into life of sex trafficking by the used of physical, emotional, and psychological abuse. In order to stop sex trafficking, everyone in the society should be educated to understand and learn about the facts, cause, prevention methods regarding the sex trafficking. Hence, this project was conducted to telling those information to the people while playing the game. The game Hope was a stealth action game that consist of total 3 playable level. Player have to remain stealthy and complete all the missions given in order to clear the level. In addition, Waterfall model was used as the development methodology for this project. The game was developed using Unity engine, while software like Blender, Paint.NET and Microsoft Visio were used to create game assets and draw diagrams for game design document. Lastly, a functional and playable game was developed. The game was passed the testing and meet the satisfy level. Few problems and issues want encountered during this project, from early game design stage until end product come out. The min strength of the game was able to let the player acquire the knowledge and facts regarding sex trafficking while playing the game. The main weakness for this game project was it having less gameplay features compare to other stealth action game.
