Abstract

Purpose : Aulyre is a game that designed for those players who love to play puzzle games and also novice in music-related field. It used to teach people about music indirectly by presenting it with alternate way. This game is to help people to learn something else meanwhile still enjoy in playing game. Scope : This project has been split into two part, which is String-based instrument and Wind-based instrument. Methodology : This game is created by using Unity3D game engine. Blender, PaintTool SAI, and Adobe Photoshop are also being used to create the artworks and assets. Development phases : In the earliest phases, a prototype was created with only some of the core mechanic. At the later phases, other sub mechanic was implemented and also animation. After all the mechanic is done, UI and tutorial is added to make the game more easier to understand and play. Lastly, polish the game to make it looks more complete. Assessment criteria used : This gameplay is sometimes 3D and sometimes 2.5D. The puzzles are designed are created by referring the musical instruments. Results : From the feedback that return by the testers, the result is positive as the game is able to deliver the message. But one weakness is also been identified as Aulyre is not repetitive as they can get bored easily after they finish all the levels. Conclusions and Recommendations : This game simplified the knowledge of music to make it looks easier than usual. Players can found it looks simple and easier to learn so that it can help to stimulate their interest or passion about music after playing this
