Abstract

This researcher’s thesis is to study on Impact of social media towards the Success of Public Relations Activities. In this research, researcher is decided to find out and research about how the social media -- Facebook create it impacts towards public relations activities nowadays. This research study is significant as the sociability is an essential theme in using the form of social media. This study is also important for the public relations to understand whether they are using the social media as right platform to promote their events. The research method used in this research is qualitative survey and the instrument of this study which is using questionnaire. Moreover, the research will be conducted to 100 young adults who studying in Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC), Diploma as well as Degree students whom majoring in Mass Communication in Public Relations course. This target group of young adults is who ages within 19 to 24 years old. The result that attained from questionnaire survey, which the questions being discussed in the questionnaire fundamentally was based on the power of social media (Facebook) in respondents’ daily routine and the awareness of the Public Relations activities has exposed to its audiences. However, researcher found that the social media has not much impact on public relations to create awareness to their audiences about the PR activities.
