Abstract

Nowadays, most of the industry in Malaysia is still using human resource to control and record data from the automation machinery. Software application is commonly developed and applied in everywhere in the market to reduce human efforts. Most of the industrial production line has not yet to implement the software application to collect the machines data. The proposed title of this project is using software application to collect the relevant data of machines in the production lines, in other word can be called as “Development of Data Acquisition system To Monitor Production line Machines”. Moreover, this system would help the staff to gather the data easily and allow an analysis how effective production line machines are. All the machines in the production line are interface together to a EUSART network. Each machine is interfaced to the network through a microcontroller to communicate with a PC software application. Visual Basic was used to develop a Graphical User Interface (GUI). The software application will be linking with microcontrollers through the EUSART network to collect data from each machine. The data will then be stored inside a database and it will be updated after 24 hours.
