Abstract

The Bluetooth Controlled Robot with Imaging Device is a project to develop a robot that is able to be controlled by user Bluetooth wireless technology. The imaging device that is embedded to the robot will be able to give visual feedback to the user through a personal computer (PC). Bluetooth had been very popular ever since its introduction and had replaced the RS-232 cables to eliminate the use of serial communications and messy wires as well. Besides that, Bluetooth offers stable and better communication range as compared to other wireless channels such as infrared or radio signals. The main objective of this project is to study the Bluetooth wireless technology as a serial communication port between to a PC by receiving commands from user input and sending visual image to the PC. The development for each stage of the project is discussed in this report.
