Abstract

Stress and depression among students are one of the most problematic issue towards their academic performance. This study aims to investigate the stress level among Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARUC) students and the relationship between stress, depression and TARUC students’ academic performance. Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) and Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D). The findings show that there is a significant relationship between stress and academic performance, depression and academic performance. In short, educational institution should work together to help student release stress and depression in order to achieve a better academic performance.
