One hundred and fifty of TARUC college students participated in the survey questionnaire. Data were obtained to measure the Meta-cognitive Self-Regulated Learning by Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) and Parenting Styles by Parenting Authority Questionnaire (PAQ). Convenience sampling was employed to collect data via survey research design. Furthermore, correlational analyses show authoritative parenting to be associated with high level of self-regulated learning among college students. Apart from that, the results indicated that authoritarian and permissive parenting styles were also significantly and positively related to student’s self-regulated learning. In other words, the results indicated that Asian college students might have a better self-regulated learning in their study even they were brought up in different parenting styles. In short, those educators and parents should be more understand the relationship between parenting styles and how children involve in self-regulated learning that might probably help them to build up the partnerships for children’s learning.
