Abstract

Basically, this project is concerned primarily with the design and fabrication of screw sorting system. My role in this project is designing the wiring system and also PLC programming. In this project, the screw sorting system use vibration excitation which is controlled by PLC programming. Before programming, the circuit diagram which includes sensors, push button, reset button etc, must be designed wisely. It use pneumatic cylinders, and DC motor which require pressure air input and also 240VAC input. Beginning of the project, the research had been done in order to get fabrication on this screw sorting system and analyze the vibration. After the research, we need to purchase or borrow the devices and get the dimensions before start to design the fabrication parts. After design and fabrication, we need to assembly, piping and also wiring the whole system. Lastly, several testing are performed to analyze the efficiency and stability of the systems. Troubleshoot the errors and recommend the ways to improve the system after the prototype is completed.
