Abstract

In this project, I would required to study the manufacturing process in palm oil mill. This study is to learn how the process in palm oil mill works and then find out what are the improvements to implement in the future. The modification will allow me to know in future on the changes it can be used in the future as well. In chapter one, it covered the introduction for the whole project. It consists of the title, project introduction, objective and the research scope of this project. The topics in literature review provide the knowledge and information that are important as this chapter covered the introduction to palm oil as well as to the manufacturing process in palm oil mill in general. Next chapter is the research methodology. In this chapter, it includes the field of research which calculate the limitation of scope for the research. The methodologies will be showing on how the data will be collected during the research study. To complete this study, the author is required to visit a real palm oil mill which has been selected. The company that been selected is Sarawak Oil Palms Bhd. All the information and the research data are included in chapter four. In chapter four, it has the data of the process in palm oil mill from the beginning process until the end process. Based on author's analysis of the process, there are some personal opinions and modification recommendation stated in this chapter. In additional, there will be further recommendation in terms of new technology available now and how to change palm oil mill waste to wealth. All this information is in the conclusion and recommendation chapter.
