Abstract

The title of this project is "Robot Control Interface with Video Feed Back for Wireless Camera". This project is aim to develop a user friendly interface for control the robot by using Visual Basic 2010. The objective of this interface is able to control the movement and the direction of robot with Xbee module (wireless device). For example, move forward, turn left, turn right, backward and direction view of camera as well. Signal or command will be sent through COMPORT to communicate with Xbee module (wireless device) and receive by the robot. The objective of this project is allow the user to view the video feedback from the wireless camera that mounted on the robot. This project is able to connect with database for login security purpose. This project is allow the user to login with correct ID before proceed to control the robot. User is able to register a new ID, update their information and delete their ID as well. The feature of this project consists of snap function, record function, saving the video and picture into computer for other purpose. Extra features of this project are "5-0n snap" function and shortcut key configuration. The meaning of 5-0n snap function is allowing the user to capture the photo from five different angles on certain time. User is able to configure the shortcut key (change button press) for command the direction of robot. The project was successfully developed using Visual Basic 2010 (software) and able to achieve the above functions. The features of this project are designed to replace human to perform hazardous and tough task as well as reduce the risk.
