Abstract
The title of the project is "Home Automation System via internet Based control". It is a system which enables users to control all the electrical appliances in house through internet, by using device that can be connected to internet. The project consists of two major elements; a custom made webpage which act as a remote controller, and the system console unit which is connected to various load. On the system console unit, there will be a microcontroller, which means microcontroller will process the instructions received from internet and transmit the control signal to different load. The loads are use to represent the actual electrical appliances of a house, but Light Emitting Diode (LED) will be used to show the signal received from microcontroller. On the internet part, there is a graphical user interface (GUI) developed in webpage form and hosted to the online webserver which is needed to apply registration. The interface will show the list of those appliances and user is able to choose which appliances to switch on or off. The signal will then be sent through internet and the microcontroller will receive it. The microcontroller will determine which appliances to be switched on or off once the signal is received from internet. In order to avoid any unauthorized user to access the webpage without permission of the user, a login page which needs username and password is created to access the GUI.
