The primarily of this project is the design, fabrication of the Fluid Friction Measurement Apparatus and important is study on the fluid friction head losses of an incompressible fluid flow. This apparatus is supplied with facilities for students or users to study the friction head losses on smooth-bore pipes of various diameters and an steel roughened pipe. In addition for student or users to the study of pressure head losses in straight pipes and the wide range of accessories are also provided such as 900 bend, elbow and 900 T, 450 elbow and 450 Y, sudden contraction and enlargement, inline strainer, various valves and flow-meters. The ratio of the pipe diameter to distance of the pressure tappings from the ends of each pipe has been selected to minimize end entry effects. First of all, literature search has been carried out in advance that is in order to get the concept for fabricating the Fluid Friction Measurement Apparatus and research on the materials used is carried out to identify the suitable type of material for the fabrication. Once the research is completed, we will start to design and modeling the apparatus is being carried out. We fry to drawing out the design and do some modification due to several reasons such as material selection, the cost of fabrication, and also need to consider the material we selected still availability in the market. Therefore, we will do some research in the marketplace and before we design the apparatus needed to make the right decision making. After the designing stage is completed, the purchasing of material is then carried out. The material selection for the apparatus is discussed in detail before us purchasing the material to avoid any problems occurring during the fabrication process. Besides that, some material is needed to order from suppliers, so we also need choose the right suppliers. After the materials have been purchased then we need to get ready to fabricate. Before the fabrication process can be done, the machining that are needed to be done has also been discussed. Finally, our apparatus is completed and can able to run the experiment.
