Abstract

This project is to design a Vertical Takeoff and Landing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles prototype (VTOL UAV) by using SolidWorks and simulate by using X-Plane. This type of UAV is very popular in U.S. and other developed countries for military and construction purposes. The following chapters will talk about the UAV and methodology used to design the UAV. Besides that, X-Plane flight simulation will be used to create and simulate the designed prototype. Test flight in simulation had to carry out before the actual flight test to reduce the accidents and mistakes. To ensure the design can be flown, all the parameter inputs are in actual dimension to prove it. After X-Plane proved the design is able to fly, fabrication of the prototype is done by author's partner.
