Abstract

This dissertation is aimed to prepare a quality manual for a medium size of noodle company to achieve the standards of ISO 9001 :2008 quality management system. The companies currently don't have the ISO certification. Before the case study, literature review on the ISO 9001 :2008 standard clauses and the quality manual has been done to be understand about the content should be included inside the quality manual in order to comply the ISO standards. Then the case study was carrying out by the factory visit to collect the information and data on the current company situation. Analysis is done on the information and data collected during the factory visit to determine where the area of the company is not fulfil the requirement of the ISO standard. Then the quality manual is proposed by the rearrange the information and the data, modification and improvement. Then the analysis on the proposed quality manual to determine the area that is proposed to be improve such as defined the quality policy, develop the quality assurance department, develop on the authority and responsibility, improvement on the working environment, purchasing processes, preparing internal audit and the quality record. This quality manual will help the company to develop the quality management system according to the ISO 9001 :2008 standard and improve their product quality and also get the ISO 9001 certification. This quality manual is recommend to be keep review and updating all the time.
