Abstract

Sensata company is a worldwide automation company which produces high quality of sensor. They also supply different kind of sensor to some very famous car company such as BMW, Mercedes Ben and etc. One of the department of Sensata Malaysia are production of Differential Pressure Sensor. In this department there are a lot of automated machine which used to perform different tasks. Thus, to manufacture a differential pressure sensor, it has to undergo several process before a complete manufactured. At last few process upon to complete all the process, the incomplete sensor have to be dispensed filter onto the housing of the sensor to prevent dust and unwanted object go into the sensor and spoilt the sensor. However, due to the current filter assembly machine, some problem occurred and causes the Gate Buster to increase which might causes more loss to the company and reputation. Hence, a dial table filter applicator are proposed to solve some main problem of the current applicator machine. The machine contain 4 different station where fully equipped with sensor. With these sensor, the machine can fundamentally eliminate human dependant, lift and dispense the filter accurately onto the housing, computerized tolerance checking and automatically unload unqualified sensors. Last but not least, a dial table type of filter applicator machine can fundamentally solve some of the problem than current applicator machine facing. Subsequently, the designed machine can also fundamentally decrease the Gate Buster and helps in Sensata Malaysia reputation.
