Abstract
The reason of building this prototype is to reduce the burden of manual labour in agriculture especially for those who operate their business privately. The target market of the prototype is for those farmers who do not use any machine in planting the seed and plant the seed manually. A standard method of planting the paddy seed would normally be ploughing the soil, planting the seed into the soil, covering the surface of the soil, applying herbicide and fertilizer on the area. Besides reducing the work load of the manual farmers, reducing the cost of the farmer planting the paddy seed also would like to be achieved. Based on the research, direct seeding on the soil shows the cheapest method among transplanting and wet seeding method. The advantage of using the prototype is, manual farmers able to carry out all the activities of manual planting such as ploughing, seeding and levelling the soil in a single prototype.
