Abstract
The purpose of this final year project is to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate advance knowledge of a specialized field that is important in future career of relevant field. The objectives of this project is to develop and design a mobile automated parking system which reduces traffic congestion and space consumption, perform analysis on the system to ensure that it meets all the targeted specification and requirement, and to fabricate a prototype of the mobile automated parking system. The project is carried out by applying knowledge learnt during the course of study from various subjects and to be completed within the duration of two semesters. During the first semester, idea development, research and system design was done. Meanwhile, the fabrication of prototype and project dissertation is done during the second semester. The project tasks are divided into parts of design, simulation, programming and fabrication of prototype. The structural design, simulation and programming of the system would be done using computer software. Once those are done, the prototype fabrication will be commenced. The prototype fabricated would be of a scaled down size of the actual design. Material selection will be done and the prototype will be fabricated with as little cost and material as possible.
