The aim of the project is to fabricate a maneuverable tricycle. The project will attempt to fabricate a tricycle which is usable in all kind of condition of road. This project also aims to fabricate an alternative power system tricycle, pedal system and electric power. This tricycle consists of hybrid system, which allow user to run the tricycle by pedaling or by electric motor. The project breaks into 5 parts: 1.Body frame, suspension, and component design 2. Component analysis by using solidwork 3. Fabrication of component 4. Component integration 5. Prototype testing As the leader of this project, I am responsible for the whole design of tricycle. My task is to design a tricycle to achieve the objectives. My task requires a lot of idea searching, idea integrating, tricycle sketching. After a final sketch of tricycle drawn, I only draw a 3 dimension tricycle with measurement by using solidwork. I also set key parameters (e.g: total height, total width, total length, component measurement and specification) before I beginning the solidwork design process. All these parameter will be adjusted again in order to obtain a better tricycle in aspect of looking and functionality. After the tricycle has drawn by using solidwork, my partner will carry out his task. He will do the Finite Element Analysis, Strain analysis, stress analysis and displacement analysis for certain critical components. Some components require analysis because the result will tell us the reliablity of component. So, the component will able to achieve the objective and will not fail. For the fabrication process,component integration and prototype testing , I and my partner will work together for all component in order to complete the prototype on time. Some recommendations are suggested to improve the functionality of tricycle. This electric tricycle is good in looking and satisfactory in term of performance. I hope the reader will able to suggest me some idea in order to overcome the limitation.
