Abstract
Hydroforming process is a process that used to form complex shape with the axial feeding force and internal pressure in a die cavity. In car manufacturing, they started to use this hydroforming process to manufacture the rear axle housing which the concept is same with tube hydroforming. There are few papers which described about rear axle housing by using hydroforming process to manufacture and there is a gap between empirical and theoretical optimum settings. So, FEA (Finite Element Analysis) is introduced in this paper to do several simulations in order to get the optimum settings and minimize the gap. This study will help the industrial to cut short the time with trial and error method to get the optimum settings.
