Abstract

The roll forming process is one of the most effective metal forming technique used in the industries to manufacture large quantity of complex profile shape product. In this process the metal sheet will formed into a desire profile using successive pairs of forming roll. In this study, numerical analysis was carried out to bridge the gap between numerical result with actual result. The optimum boundary condition will be defined form this study. Finite element analysis was done to simulate the material behavior under roll forming. The analysis was set up to compare the result with different boundary condition. The material behavior was studies under different speed and the effect of these boundary condition was studies and observed. The method of conducting the analysis was compared to obtain the optimum setting with accurate representative of the material behavior under deformation.
