Abstract

Most company are seeking the best efficient ways to load and unload the products for mass production. This same goes to the manufacturing industry, the Asia Roofing Industries SDN BHD company known as AJIYA Metal Group, is also looking for an efficient way to unload their Polyurethane (PU) Metal roofing from the machine to the storage area. The purpose of the study and the research is to seek a solution to help Ajiya company to solve their unloading system. Currently the company requires at least 6 workers to unload the 25 meters long of PU metal roofing from machine to the storage area manually. The solution that the company wants is to reduce the worker required to unload the PU metal roofing in a partial automated system. Therefore, a study is required to study the loading and unloading method that the current market has and come out with a system that will solve the unloading problem. The unloading method have been studies and research the ideal type, which is the vacuum unloading system. An engineering design was drawn using SolidWorks software based on the calculation obtained. Next, ANSYS software is used to test the deformation of the part drawn and the cycle time of the production using vacuum system was tested using SolidWorks software. The vacuum transferring system will be able to transfer the highest demand and the longest product which is the 6 meters long and 25 meters long PU sandwiched panels. Besides, the vacuum system also able to reduce the usage of labour force from 6 labour to 1 labour. Hence, this solve the problems of the project.
