Abstract

The factor of researching and optimizing for the disk brake will be their overheating problem and their stress analysis when facing high pressure condition .The main cause of the brake disk overheating is because the friction when the brake callipers is compression the brake disk. Especially during high speed braking, will produce a very high stress and heat to the brake disk, this is why a brake disk has to be design properly to avoid any failure to the braking system, such as the braking mechanism failure, the life span of the brake disk will be very short, some worst case scenario will lead to brake disc deformation. Hence, throughout this particular research, the paper will discuss about how to improve the braking performance and same goes to the analysis of the different material of the brake will contribute any kind of different result. Moreover, throughout this research paper, we will observe the difference between the changing different design of the brake disk and different kind of material will contribute what kind of an optimization to it. And the purpose of this paper , is to prevent the brake disk from overheating and same goes to the cooling of the brake by changing different kind of design , and the brake must also fulfil certain requirement for it to have maximum performance while designing , such as it must be high strength and high heat transfer capacity . Low adhesion capacity, and high coefficient of friction to have better braking performance .All of the analysis and result will done through the FEA to provide a better and accurate result.
