Abstract

The support bracket of the engine is the necessary parts of the engine mounts. In addition, the mounting bracket assembly is used for the front frame of the chassis. Now, the most concentrated mass in the vehicle is the engine. When it is not properly isolated and restricted, it may cause some vibration. There is a problem where the engine bracket's vibration has been a constant concern which could result in structural failure. In this project, the objective of the research is obtaining the natural frequency on the engine supporting bracket with different types of materials and to determine the stress, the displacement and strain of the engine support bracket by applying forces to the engine support bracket. A modal analysis to determine the frequency of the modal shape by using different materials. Static analysis is used to determine the stress, displacement and the strain of the engine supporting bracket by applying force to it. Vibration analysis will be performed to determine the vibration that will occur on the engine mounts. The result is showing that the modified design of engine supporting bracket has been improved compared to the existing design of the engine supporting bracket.
