Abstract

This study carried out is to determine if there is a correlation between palm oil fruitlets color and oil yield with a deep neural network. The correlation is look at through the similarities between the results from the ripeness classification of the oil palm fruitlets from a convolution neural network with the color of the fruits and the oil yield based on ripeness based on the mass, volume and density of the fruitlets using fuzzy inference system. A total of 169 fruitlet samples was used to conduct this study which are provided by Genting plantations. the CNN was trained with images generated by augmenting the original samples.
