Abstract

3D printer are usually used to print all types of plastic, metals and even transparent materials. However, 3D printer that able to remove the printed part by itself have a limited number in the market. Most the printed needed the help of an operator to remove the printed part manually. The objective of this project is to design a machine or a system that can remove the printed part from the platform by itself without breaking the part. One of the benefits is auto removal part able to help in increase the utility and the efficiency of the machine when printing multiple objects. The project carried out with the help of Arduino and Solidworks. Solidworks is used to design the prototype of the auto removal part for the 3D printer and do further modifications for the design before it was ready to build up. Arduino is functioned as the brains of the auto removal part of the 3D printer. In this project, it executes the code that had written and send instructions to the stepper motor to control the removing printed part process. Auto removal part for 3D printer has been designed and fabricated and tests have been conducted and the objectives have been achieved. The result shown have solved the above problems. These documentations are crucial for anyone in the future to continue and modify and improve on any ideas related to auto removal part for 3D printer
