Abstract

The study is to produce the research about the analysis on the finite element analysis of the automotive chassis. Moreover, the model of automotive chassis chosen on the truck chassis is Suzuki Truck Chassis. The material selection for the existing Suzuki Truck Chassis is Structural Steel. The software tools that are going to use in this project are SolidWorks and Ansys. For the optimization of the design, the chassis will be undergoing a few modifications and it will be modelled using SolidWorks software for the purposes of this study. After that, the model will then be imported into the Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS) software. There are three main procedures on generating simulation using Ansys software such as modal analysis, structural modification and static structural analysis. Lastly, the results obtained from the Ansys software will be analyzed and examine the improvement on the truck chassis’ structure.
