Abstract

Singing bowl sound therapy has attracted much attention in recent years. It can improve the physical and mental state of humans and even balance the inner energy of the human body. Human aura, also known as the human biofield, is an illuminated energy field that surrounded the human body and it is not visible to the human bare eyes. Since singing bowl sound therapy can be used to balance the human inner energy, the human aura as an energy field might also be influenced by this sound therapy. However, there is currently lack of the related study or analysis of the effects of singing bowl sound therapy on human aura. In this experiment, the aura colourspace visualizer algorithm was developed with several features of image processing, such as grayscale conversion, image normalization and enhancement, and image mapping. This algorithm is capable to visualize and present human aura with a short duration of image processing. Two types of validations were applied to validate and prove the workability, accuracy, and reliability of this algorithm. Then, a measurement experiment with a number of 10 participants was conducted for the aura measurement. By visualizing the shape and pattern of the human aura, it provided a review of the effects of singing bowl sound therapy on the human aura. The measurement results of before and after sound therapy were recorded and observed. Beside showing the result image of the aura measurement, a bar chart of the measurement result was generated as an analytical result. In the end, this algorithm can be used to improve and expand the current method of human mental and health checking with the aid of medical and psychological fields of expertise.
