Abstract

Nowadays, the collection and disposal of rubbish in modern cities causes environmental issues due to the rate increasing population. Hence, smart waste management systems become crucial for the modern cities. It improves the efficiency and accuracy waste management system that detects the fill level of trash by ultrasonic sensor, open and close the lid automatically. Besides that, many individuals have concerns about touching the lid of a trash bin due to hygiene reasons, especially in public spaces. By developing a touchless solution, these concerns get to reduce and provide a more hygienic waste disposal experience.
