Abstract

This project is based on a plan to produce an IoT-based hydroponics test bed with the incorporation of automatic image processing to further modulate the various plant environment parameters. The hydroponic testbed system will be built upon an existing hydroponics structure. The project’s main scope is to design the IoT image processing and specification library of the automated system. The project mostly revolves in having to collect, process data, and execute commands however necessary whether it is by using actuators or by prompting actions to the user. The hydroponics project was conducted in an isolated condition which is indoors to also put into consideration of a feasibility study of having a hydroponics setup indoors. The project would be delivering upon a solution of a IoT that visualise the environment as well as to formulate a model that would detect plants.
