Abstract
This project aims to develop a simulation model of a manufacturing line system using the SimPy Python library to enhance analytical tool capabilities in the manufacturing industry. The proposed model will replicate the operations of a real-world manufacturing system, focusing on key performance metrics such as cycle time, utilization rate, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). By simulating the production process, the project seeks to provide a detailed analysis of manufacturing dynamics without requiring physical testing, offering a valuable method for evaluating and optimizing production efficiency. The simulated model will be compared to realworld data to ensure it accurately represents how the actual system works. This project intends to contribute to the broader field of manufacturing analytics by providing a robust framework for simulating and analysing production systems, ultimately aiding in the optimisation of resource use and operational performance. The anticipated outcomes are significant for industries seeking to enhance their understanding of production dynamics and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
